<ul>
<li>Made co-payments for a 2 year old  whose mother quit her job to care for her daughter, while the father  continued to work so the family didn’t lose their health insurance. </li>
<li>Resolved an outstanding balance  for a teenage patient, so he could get the surgery necessary to replace  bone loss resulting from chemotherapy treatments. </li>
<li>Settled an outstanding  co-insurance balance for a 9-year-old with leukemia, whose father, the  sole financial provider, had recently passed away. </li>
<li>Paid outstanding medical bills  for a young man who died of leukemia, so his family could focus on  dealing with the loss of their child. </li>
<li>Provided gas cards for families  commuting to Charlotte for treatment, when they couldn’t afford the  additional financial burden. </li>
